See HEY BABY’S work on the big screen in Warner Brother’s Blockbuster movie, SUCKER PUNCH!

Check out Hey Baby’s work on the silver screen…Warner Brothers’ new movie “Sucker Punch”, gave Hey Baby Designer and Owner, Pam and company the opportunity to put their skills to the big screen test. It was a great experience working on costume designer Michael Wilkinson’s vision. As seen in these photos, we made this beautiful peach bustier that was worn in the movie by Baby Doll, the lead actress played by the talented, Emily Browning. Baby Doll looks amazing in Michael’s creation. Detail was very important to Michael…especially the circular stitching seen on the cups of the garment. Precise spacing and stitching was Michael’s main concern and focus with this piece. The fabrics and findings such as bra straps and bone casings were all dyed to have this delicate peach color. The intricate circular stitching on the cups and the unique boning structure made this custom piece right up our alley. Hey Baby is great with difficult, intricate and complicated styles. Hey Baby’s experience and expertise came in handy on this project. We created the custom pattern of this bustier to fit Ms. Browning’s body, and the end result was fabulous!! I am very proud of this piece!

Hey Baby was inspired by the complicated circular stitching seen here on the bra cups of Baby Doll’s outfit. This precision sewing technique mainly found in vintage lingerie and under garments, definitely caught my attention and inspired me to create a couple of pieces inspired by the movie. You can see its influence on two of our new styles
#10-32 and #10-34.
